July!
Ah July, the month with that really important date. Oh yeah and also some other event on July 4th: In The Pen Dance Day or something like that.

July also means lots of summer movies for the whole gang to watch every single week :P There are so many movies coming out in July so I'm sure that we'll be able to pick one out of the litter to watch every week.

By the way, 300th Post!

Bonfire
Well most of you who read this were there last night so I won't go into such heavy detail but to say, my car was scratched yesterday by a couple of teenagers goofying around. They claimed partial fault but their father wasn't so... let's say, "agreeable"

( I decided to not put the rest of what I have to put up until I get the whole thing resolved in case theres some legality with me posting this or in case they use this against me, although I doubt they visit this site :P But still, to cover my ass until this is over, I'm not gonna put anything up)

I'll just be glad when this is all over with. I'm grateful for what all my friends did for me last night.

Oh yeah, the actual bonfire was pretty neat too. Lots of fire, lots of pyro, lots of clothing smelling like fire. It's all good.

Update: So just in case I don't remember and for all of you no shows. Highlights of the day...

1) Attempts to find beach pit. Hilarity ensues.

2) The hole digging. While it was light out, Andrew and some others dug some holes around the pit we were at. At first everyone thought Andrew was crazy, but we soon learned what dangers these holes be when night fall came and we couldn't see the holes anymore! Hilarity ensues.

3) Burning of my bass amp box: Eliot had used up all his wood and I had brought some along as well in my bass amp's box. At first I didn't want to throw it in but I realized that it had no use at home so in it went. Hilarity ensues.

Me: Hey does that tag on the box have the serial number for my bass amp? :(

4) Josh pushes Erik which causes the lighter fluid container to "fall" into the pit while there was still lighter fluid in the container. Hilarity ensues.

5) Way more guys than girls. Hilarity ensues only if you're not a guy.

The Roads Vs. Shuan
Seriously, I think whenever I want to go to Orangethorpe and Imperial or back, some magical force makes it so that I have to (a) take the longest route there (b) inconvenience me as much as possible.

1) I'm going to Cyberworld at night (11 or so) and as I'm entering the right hand lane to make a turn onto Imperial, a train comes by... for 15 minutes! :(

2) I'm driving Jimmy from erm.. In'N'Out off La Palma to goto Pranav's house. We decide to go on the 91 because we thought it was faster, we get off on Lakeview cause there was traffic on the 91 only to find out that there was more traffic off Lakeview than there was on the freeway! :(

3) I'm driving Pranav to, uhhh, well you know where (teehee). And we are at Tea Zone so I'm thinking we should go onto the 91 to get there. Well we do pass by the 91 only to find that there's no on-ramp to it... (*doh*) so we continue driving on State College and for some reason we end up at Kraemer. During our drive there almost every light is red and there was a huge flatbed truck that I swear was trying to block our path! We finally ended up on the freeway but again we were the last ones to arrive. Oh yeah, the last light that we were at refused to turn green for us for five minutes even though we were basically the only ones there.

4) I am driving back today after dropping my cousin off near a restaurant near the 91 and off of Imperial. I take the 91 back and hit traffic but I decide to stick with it and exit off Tustin. As I'm about to make a left onto Orangethorpe, a huge truck (again ANOTHER TRUCK BLOCKING MY FAST ESCAPE!!! :((((((( only this time it's one of those trucks that carry cars) is in the left-hand lane so of course that was the only car that got to go off that light. On the very next green all these cars are ready to go except... a train comes! :(

I don't know maybe I'm just paranoid but like all these times it's like the roads/trains etc. are like, "WAIT FOR SHUAN TO SHOW UP AND THEN EXECUTE THE TRAP!" That or I could be very very bored :)

Bowling and Golf anyone?
Friday night was Cyberworld + Camelot + Bowling night. James, Gary, Pranav, Jimmy and I went to go play some CS in the afternoon and then headed out to Camelot to prepare to go bowling (Minus Jimmy, Add Michelle and Josh, but then Minus Josh later cause he ended up not bowling). It was some stupid Rock Bowling where they charge you 5 extra bucks or so to listen to music. Being the indecisive group that we are, we spent about fifteen minutes outside debating the merits of whether or not it was worth the eleven bucks to go bowl here or go somewhere else to bowl. In all of this Josh ends up leaving (he do what he wants, it's his body) so the remaining five people decide to go bowl. I think James ended up winning both games (even though he didn't even want to bowl in the first place) and I ended up with 100+ games.

Saturday was mini-golf day on my checklist. The Akash(tm), Anu, It's Frances!(tm), Michelle and I got our game on thru 18 rigorous holes of minature golf! Of course we don't know who really won 'cause Anu tainted the scores!

Afterwards Frances' stomach and Anu felt like Thai food so we drove all the way into Yorba Linda's Village Center to goto some Thai place only to find out that it was replaced by Sushi! :( So we kinda just sat out in the parking lot doing nothing cause we were indecisive about what to eat when we finally forced our ways into a nearby Rubios. We ate food and then Sherry and Christina came by to visit and then I left...

Only to find out that people went to go see a movie without me! *GASP* I don't even know how you people would function without me so to my amazement you guys finishing up a movie at 10:00 when I was told 9:45! BOO-URNS TO THAT!

Boba Count: 2 Cups on Friday, 2 Cups today! Well, make that yesterday...

Return of the Boba
Overheard at Don's party on Saturday.

Josie: Let's play Ass-Wars!
Me: How do you play that...
Josie: Well you just go around and slap people on the butt
Frances: Like this? (Slaps my butt)

James: Yeah it's a total sausage fest.

Josie: I know, let's play spin the bottle. (Note: at this point it was basically all guys. ALL GUYS and she wants to play that game!)

Boba past two days including a midnight (well, 11:30) run for it on Monday.

And so it ends...
Yesterday I went with my dormmates Victor, Edmund, Tom and Richard (not anyone from Troy) to eat at an "all-you-can-eat" sushi buffet. The food was pretty good and was pretty expensive and it wasn't even all-you-can-eat!!! It's all you can eat only for the first hour. We ate alot of there were 5 of us!!! So we did leave after they served us parts of our second portions.

Today I went to go turn in my research essay for Writing 39C. And with that ended my first year here at UCI. Josh, Trainer, Victor and Edmund drove up to Fullerton to eat at China Palace and then drove back down to Victor's house to hangout. Then I came back, packed up all of my stuff, vacuumed my side of the room (GASP!) said bye to my dormmates and then left.

Not that any of that was actually dramatic, which is why this sounds so boring. As I told a former Troy alumni the other day at Camelot, things at UCI have been so-so. Nothing exciting, nothing horribly boring, nothing... I guess that was the problem. Yeah, so summer is upon us, what does everyone have planned? :P

Assbackwards
Interesting fact that I learned from doing all this copyright research for my research essay.

If after watching a Jackie Chan flick, you think that Jet Li could have done a better job in that character role, you are breaking copyright laws.

In fact, you probably thought of a Jackie Chan flick, and you probably imagined Jet Li in that role. CONGRATULATIONS! you have broken U.S. copyright law.

Reasoning: Copyright laws involving derivative works give the copyright holder sole control. It does not say that said derived work needs to be put onto paper or communicated to another human. So both tangible and nontangible items are in violation of Title 17, Sec 106(2) of the U.S. Code.

Lakers Win!
Was that an exciting game/series or what! Not only does it go to 7 games, it also goes into overtime. Lakers over the Kings 112-106. The Lakers will face the NJ Nets on Wednesday for the championship. I feel both sad and happy cause I mean, Liz doesn't get to see her team go all the way to the Finals, but on the happy side, I won't have to deal with Edmund talking about how the Lakers lost. I only have to deal with him bitching about how they cheat, which is fine by me.

Go Lakers!
